Ultrasound Therapy (Adjunct)

Session flow

  • Coupling gel applied to the selected area; sound head moved continuously

  • 1–3 MHz frequency (within device guidelines)

  • Continuous or pulsed mode, as appropriate

  • Typical exposure time: 5–8 minutes per area

Intended use within session

  • A warming or soothing sensation during application

  • A sense of ease or relaxation around the area

  • Often used as part of post-session comfort support

When we may consider it

  • Areas of local muscle tightness or sensitivity

  • Superficial areas (e.g. shoulder, elbow, knee) where a gentler adjunct may be preferred

  • Clients who are sensitive to firm pressure and prefer a low-intensity option
